  • Hello there. What's 'The Revolution' wiki?

      Loading editor
    • Revolution was a post-apocalyptic TV show that ran on NBC for a few seasons back in 2012. The first season was better, but the second season got very strange very fast.

  • Well. Start saving your money from now. The PS5 is due out next year. And as surely as night follows day, HZD 2 will soon follow.

    • Awesome!

Actually, I don't play video games that much. Heck, I'm barely active on Wikia any more; mostly just here and The Last of Us wiki. Waiting for Part II to come out!

  • I’d like Aloy to head west until she gets to the Cali coast. Imagine exploring the ruins of a huge city like LA. But what I’d really like to see are oceanic machines. I was watching Jaws the other night.

Imagine a machine looking like a great white. Something like what the image in the link looks like. The Razorfin, or something. Sorry, I’m not good with coming up with cool machine names! The size of a great white, with razor sharp metal teeth in the jaws. Or a machine like a gigantic octopus, with huge metallic advanced tentacles. Like those of Dr. Octopus, but far more advanced. Or better yet, a colossal squid! And additionally, shoaling machines (equivalent to herding machines) like Humboldt squid. All these oceanic machines are made in an undersea cauldron. The tribes living on the shores fish for salmon, but fishing is very dangerous due to the Derangement.

Fishing by boat is too risky; easy spotting on the surface from underneath by a Razorfin or something else. Best to spearfish, where you can at least hide among corals (DEMETER restored coral polyps) and seaweed (restored by ARTEMIS). But watch out for shoaling macnines and the patrolling Razorfins!

    • and realy quick, as for the ikran, I noticed the wings fully because of a great sketch someone did, they're definitely a hybrid of bird and dragon, and the Toruk is even more prominent on its displays. what if the Toruk is a Combat Machine?

  • Did I mention that in UH enemies have no health bars? You have absolutely no idea how much damage you’re inflicting and how much more you have to inflict to kill any enemy.

This forces you to think. Take the first Sawtooth Rost has you take down. I used nothing but traps. I used my Focus show up its path, then laid some detonating blast traps along it at intervals, all the time being VERY careful not to get spotted. I’ve already told you how hard that is at this difficulty. For the Sawtooth it was: Walk. Boom. Walk. Boom. Walk. Boom. Took about 6 traps. The only confirmation I had that is was almost dead was when it started sparking and limping. At this difficulty you HAVE to think and plan. Because the machines, from what I’ve read, do a HELL of a lot more damage to you than you do to them. Run in reckless and cocky against the bigger, meaner machines and you get killed.

    • Lovely :| Sounds even more like The Last of Us on Grounded difficulty. Tried that once, lasted all of about 10 minutes, never played that again. I can only imagine trying to take down a Corrupted Thunderjaw on Ultra Hard.

  • For the first time I took a look at her armor image at full res, up and down. And I have to wonder if Uthid could handle all that power, if you take my meaning. 😉

  • I told this to another contributor. I’m always gratified about the lack of edit wars on this wiki. On some wikis contributors can’t make a single edit, no matter how sensible, without somebody getting their knickers in a bunch. They revert. The contributor reverts it back. Edit war. I really like that that doesn’t happen here, at least not that I’ve seen.

  • Hoo boy. Just started it. My hunting ability has been significantly nerfed.

First thing I noticed was HEPHAESTUS has apparently installed high-powered telescopic upgrades with beyond Zeiss quality zoom in the machines visual sensor arrays.😝 They spot you from WAAAYYY further now, and can make you out as a human (& therefore a threat) within a few seconds.

Second thing I noticed was that if you use lure call OR stone throw, unless you want a brawl, don’t even THINK about using it again. Heffy has apparently also programmed them as follows: Whistle + whistle = human Whistle + stone = human Stone + whistle = human Stone + stone = human 😝 Any of the above combos while machines are suspicious IMMEDIATELY tells them you’re there AND gives away your position.

Thirdly, he’s apparently improved machine cojones programming. The normally skittish machines that run from you? They don’t run anymore.

    • You would think though they would hide away an extra weapon or two both as an easter egg and to even the odds a slight bit at least. LogicEcho (talk) 17:48, August 15, 2019 (UTC)

  • Banuk using Powered Ice Auger
      Loading editor
  • I couldn’t believe this when I saw it. A Banuk woman was using a powered ice auger to drill a hole in a frozen lake for fishing. And it didn’t look like some piece of ancient tech they just found and learned how to use. It looked like they built it, or at least repaired one they found. Maybe they built it from an ancient design they found somewhere. At any rate, it suggests a level of mechanical aptitude that’s even above the Oseram, because Oseram machinery looks positively primitive compared to this thing. In fact, it’s the single most advanced piece of non-Old One tech I’ve seen in the game. It was even automated. Place it, turn it on, and let it drill. I had to stop and take a picture. I’ll upload it and place it in the Banuk article.
